Join us on August 25th from 12pm to 1pm for WIGA’s third in a series of Zoom presentations with Dr. Mehdi Sarifi, PhD Research Scientist.
Dr. Mehdi Sharifi is a research scientist at the Summerland Research and Development Centre. Before moving the Okanagan, Dr. Sharifi held the Canada Research Chair in Sustainable Agriculture and was an Assistant Professor at Trent University’s School of Environment. He has also served as the Nutrient Management Research Chair while an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Agriculture at Dalhousie University. Dr. Sharifi’s research activities focus on sustainable nutrient management for perennial horticultural crops including grapes, apples and cherries. His interests extend to the use and management of soil amendments, and cover crops within horticultural crops.
Dr. Sharifi will be providing both his research and experience for practical recommendations on this subject. We hope you can join us.
